Crime Scene Cleanup School
Where does one go to be trained to be a crime scene cleaner?
David O'Brien, a veteran in the industry of forensic cleaning, runs a CTS Decontamination training academy out of Las Vegas. Publications like Huffington Post and Penthouse has featured him and his training.
It is said that after this comprehensive training, you can have the confidence to go out and successfully remediate a trauma scene on your own. His training comes in at $5,000 for both of his on and offline classes, but is said to be worth it. Similar companies like Amdecon and Aftermath offer similar training but potentially at a much lower quality than that of David O'Brien's training.
Companies like Biohazard PRO use this kind of training to keep their edge on the competition. They practice strict safety procedures as well as have the faculties to clean a crime or trauma scene in a timely manner.
Why is there so much fuss about these kind of companies and their training? The services offered by crime scene cleanup companies require a lot of training and involve incredible amount of risk to perform. No one should ever clean up biohazards without the proper training and equipment, and that's why these companies need to stay on top of their training all the time.
